Being the Church Instead of Participating in Its Production

There’s an age-old saying that goes, “church is not a building, it’s the people.” This statement holds a profound truth that is often overshadowed by the glitz and glamour of modern-day church services. In an era where church gatherings are increasingly driven by production value, it is crucial that we take a step back and refocus our efforts on empowering individuals to be the church, rather than simply participating in its production.

The Difference Between Being the Church and Participating in It’s Production

To clarify the distinction, being the church means living out the values, teachings, and principles of Christianity in our daily lives. It involves fostering a genuine, authentic relationship with God and nurturing connections with our fellow believers. On the other hand, participating in the production of church typically refers to attending services, engaging in worship, and partaking in church-related events.

While both aspects are undeniably important, it is crucial that we prioritize being the church over merely participating in its production. Here’s why:
